

Doug graduated from Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama. After high school Doug served 3 years in the Navy, before being medically discharged.
Doug was an agent for State Farm for 57 years, serving Mobile and Robertsdale Alabama. Doug treated his clients like family and will be missed by all.
Doug was a lover of music and dancing. He also enjoyed entertaining family, friends and neighbors. Doug's greatest love was for his family.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Louise Taylor, as son Mitchell Taylor, sisters Peggy Toth and Faye Taylor and his first wife Faye Taylor.
His is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marleen Taylor, son Mark Taylor, daughters Stacey and Jennifer Taylor, his granddaughter Kendahl(Caleb)Ray and great grandchildren Kayden and Silas Faye, sister in law Charlotte Good and his best friend of 71 years, Don Shields, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his in home caregiver, Jackie and his special nurses from Springhill Hospice, Heather, Tina and Tracy.
A visitation will be held for Doug on September 22, 2026 at Eastern Shore Baptist Church, 6847 Park Dr, Daphne, Alabama 36526 at 10:00 am followed by the memorial service at 11:00 am. The Graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
