Funeral Services for Mrs. Paulette Obert Merritt,78, of Fairhope, AL will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Mrs. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Frank F. Obert and Cora Mae Wentworth Obert; brothers, Frank R. Obert and F. Elmore Obert; sisters, Peggy Simmons and Dorothy “Dot” Davis. Mrs. Paulette is survived by her husband of 53 years, Elie Merritt; son, Glen E. Merritt and his wife Kris Merritt; grandchildren, Glen “Rip” Merritt, Ryan E. Merritt and Reagan K. Merritt; brother, Ed “Bubba” Obert; sisters, JoAnn Bradford of Houston, TX, Evalyn Lovell of Gardendale, AL; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was many things to many people: Daughter, Sister, Pilly, Aunt, Wife, Mom, Maw-Maw, Ding-Ding, Mother-in-law, Grandma, Friend, Neighbor and Granny Blue- but to all of us she meant an open generous heart and caring helpful hands. We will all miss you. Our Family is a circle of strength and love. With every birth and every union the circle grows. Every Joy shared adds more love. Every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger.
