

Peggy Britton Burch, 92, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Mrs. Burch was a fantastic seamstress, who spent many years designing and executing dresses and trains for Mardi Gras organizations in Mobile. She was the President of the Etruscans, President of the Mobile Woman’s Club Association for 2 years, President of the Azalea City Woman’s Club for a year, served on the City of Mobile Beautification Board, was Treasurer of the Forum Club, and was a member of the Mobile Garden Club. Mrs. Burch was a generous human being, always lending a hand where needed. She is loved and will be missed.
Mrs. Burch was preceded in death by her husband, Walter George Burch; parents, Charles and Ollie Britton; and two sisters, Gloria Page and Bill Evelyn Powers.
She is survived by her son, Walter Gary (Julianne) Burch; two grandsons, Walter Britton (Kara) Burch and Page McMillan Burch; one sister, Beverly Gentry; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other cherished loved ones.
A visitation for Mrs. Burch will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway, with a graveside service immediately following in Pine Crest Cemetery.
