Peggy Marie Scarcliff

Peggy was born in Mobile Alabama and married in 1950 to Kirk Williams Scarcliff. Kirk went home to heaven in 2001 after 51 years of marriage to Peggy. He was truly the love of her life.

Peggy outlived other family members of her era with the exceptions of her brother James Frederick Snyder, her very special cousin Devon Williams, who is 97 years young and her sister-in-law Sandra LaGros Sonnier.

Peggy is survived by her aforementioned brother Jimmy Snyder (Claudia), his children Julie, Ricky, Jessica, Melissa and their children.

Peggy’s children, son Kirk “Bill” William Scarcliff (MaryBob), his children, Kimberly, Christopher, Robert, and Michael and their children.

Daughter, Karen Ann Powe (Roger) and her children, Chuck and Elaine and their children

Daughter, Sheila Marie Allsup, (Johnny) and her children Denny and Lisa and their children.

Children of deceased son James Frederick Scarcliff (Mandy) and his children Alyssa Caitlin and Tori and their children.

Our loss was heaven’s gain by receiving our joyful mother and grandmother, Peggy, who gave praise to her Lord and Savior most days of her life.

In the eyes of her children, she was the best mother in the whole world. She was always there for whatever was going on in our lives. She was a good listener and always had good advice. Our mama was truly our very best friend. Mother, you will be forever missed.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway.
