Phyllis Applebee Irvine - Born November 14, 1929, in Auburn, AL, the only child of Alice Macey Applebee and Dr. Frank W. Applebee, peacefully transcended this earth on Friday, September 17, 2010, with full assurance of reuniting with loved ones. She earned a Batchelor of Arts degree in Applied Art, specializing in Fashion Design from Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University in 1951. Ms. Irvine is survived by her four children, Carolyn Irvine, Don (Mary Anne) Irvine, Cindy Irvine, all of Mobile, and Mark (Teresa) Irvine of Hoover, AL. Her four grandchildren have been a constant source of joy, including Daniel, Michael, Matt, and Juliet. A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Monday, September 20, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Gilbert Lundy officiating.
