Just recently learning of Dick's passing. My heart is saddened for the loss, however there is joy in knowing that his passing is only a temporary interruption as we will all join together again. Dick and I worked together from 1969 to 1972 at 710 WKRG. Dick worked 3-7pm and I had the pleasure of following him on air 7pm to midnight. He was always a pleasure and a major talent May God bless Cece and family. The world is a better place having Dick Hylton here albeit too short of time.

I remember Mr. Hylton from his radio days. Recently I had the pleasure of working with him; he was so nice and helpful. He was also very complimentary and even sent me a very nice handwritten thank you note. I am so glad I had the opportunity to encounter him in his last days. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear CeCe & children, I am so sorry for your loss. Dick was an amazing DJ & individual. Our children loved to listen to him on G-100 every morning when they were getting ready for school. We have such fond memories of Dick. All Our Love, Barbara & Lee Shirvanian

Met Dick at WKRG Radio in the late 1960's, a fine person who gave good advice to a summer worker!

A few of the earliest memories I have of my father were watching him do the morning show with Dick on WMOB-AM. Later, when my dad went to 95KSJ and Dick went to G100, my morning listening stayed with Uncle Dickie.

Years later, after my dad passed, I made the decision to follow in his footsteps and get into radio. Dick gave me my first morning gig, while still in college, on WKRG ... eventually letting me help program the station.

I was thrilled to work for such an icon in Mobile radio and to share the stage with him at the annual Sigma Delta Chi Gridiron Roast, another event my dad loved.

Dick Hylton set the bar for personality radio in the Deep South. I can still hear his voice in my head today and see his toe-tapping along to the music he was playing in the studio.

Thanks for being a friend to Jim and a mentor to me. You've left a memorable mark on Alabama's finest city and headphones that were never quite filled.

Our love to your family.

Such a GREAT guy.. I was good friends with the WKRG DJ's back in the mid 1980's, Dick always took the time to speak to me when I visited the station. He will be missed....
