I will always treasure our time together. You and Rick were gracious to agree to be my chidren's godparents. You were great neighbors. Rick was such  a wonderful influence on many people. I remember when he and you came to Springfield to preach at South Haven. Everyone loved you both. My sympathies.

We were so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Rick on the occasions he visited the Ignite Church in Naples, FL.  We were further blessed because on one of those visits he was our house guest for two days.  What a wonderful, and fun experience that was. Rick and Bro.Trerry Bryant became very great friends of mine. I attended several of Ricks, noon bible sessions at a local Mobile restaurant and we also had a relationship through the insurance business. Every opportunity I had with Rick, was special. Rick's love and faith in God, was as strong as his love and concern for the people he met. I don't believe I ever had the opportunity to meet any of his family.  I look forward to meeting you and or speaking to you some day and sharing with you a very meaningful visit that Rick and I had over lunch one day in Mobile. I experienced his faith and love that God blessed him with through his words of wisdom and concern.  "I sincerely wish you and your family God's most gracious love in your years of memories of Rick".

Brother Rick Cagle Baptized me at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Al. He was a wonderful roll model and a great friend.  So sorry Marie and Kids for your loss. Know that he will be waiting for us all in Heaven! Right now he is probably talking with my dad!

Ricky and I were like brothers in high school, spending at least some part of nearly every day together. Although we did not stay in touch as our careers took us to live in different places, my heart is heavy with his loss. I will always remember the great fun we had in those years and have no doubt that he is in Heaven playing practical jokes right now. What a great man of God. He will be missed.

Dear Marie & family, I knew Rick as a youth at Cottage Hill. I was a freshman and he a Senior. What a great witness he was to me as a new christian. To my delight when I had married and had a family and moved back to Mobile, he was at Cottage Hill and ministered to our family then. I will never forget Rick or his sweet wife. May God bless you all in the days and years to come! We serve a FAITHFUL GOD!!!

I knew Rick earlier but was just recently associated with him again working on "Project 714".  His concern for 2 Chronicles 7:14 an our country was a passion we both have so we were able to connect on this project.  We must stay strong and keep his vision alive. I attended grade school with Rick (when he was a red-headed, freckle-faced boy wearing braces). In his youth, Rick also studied music with my parents. I listened to Rick's inspirational afternoon radio sermons as I drove home from work. I am deeply saddened by his passing, and blessed to have had Rick as one of the "golden threads" winding through my life. My deepest sympathy to his immediate family, as well as, to his extended family in Christ.

I am thankful to have witnessed his love and compassion for people.  He will be missed by our homeschool families.

Rick served God, loved people, and lived life with passion and commitment.  What a legacy!  What an example.  And what a privilege to know him.  We will miss Rick greatly.

We will miss Rick at Power 88. He help to keep is all a step closer to our Lord.

Our paths did not cross often enough but we always enjoyed talking with Dr. Cable.
He always had kind words and knowledgable insights on many subjects.

When the Lord made Rick He threw away the mold!  I am glad to have been his friend.  Our Woodridge Baptist Church family joins thousands of others in praying for God's Grace to be real to all of you.

We look back over recent times, as we gathered for Theodore High Class of 1971 gatherings, and our 40th reunion in 2011, remembering the great times we shared with Ricky, and the laughter and smiles all of us had, when he would encourage us with his energy and enthusiasm, teasing and bringing the funniest and happiest memories up, and recognizing our great comraederie, as friends and classmates.  It is with this same energy and enthusiasm, that Ricky followed God's plan for him, and he led many of our classmate and lifelong friends to a deeper and richer spiritual life.  Even as young adults, we recognized that Ricky was following the path that God chose for him.
We are saddened by Ricky's death, but we rejoice in knowing that he is again perfect in a spiritual body, without pain nor illness, and resting in the loving arms of Jesus.  Our thoughts and prayers, are with you all, in the coming days and weeks.

I knew him as Ricky in our early high school years at Theodore. He was a really nice guy and a real cutup.I remember hanging around with him at his house on some water front and also at his dad's auto parts store in Theodore.We sure had some good times together.I envy him beating me to the gates of heaven, but I know that because of what Christ has done in both of our lives that I WILL SEE HIM AGAIN!! I pray that the COMFORTER will fill this void in his family's lives.

I have known Ricky for most of his life. We attended Cottage Hill Baptist together and were in the Choir, Minority Singers, and other ministries together. He was from a great stock, as his parents were as fine a Christian couple as you could meet anywhere. Through the years, Rick and I have tracked each other and have laughed and enjoyed many communications through music and humor. Ricky was keen about sharing what he enjoyed with those around him, and those he continued to network with. Ricky had as fruitful a life as anyone I have ever known. I sure wish I could have been around Mobile the past 15 years to have enjoyed being in his presence more, but The Lord has us here in Central Florida working on His plan. I hope Ricky can read this, when I say "Thank you, for giving to the Lord--I've got a life that has been changed."

Rick and I were at Mobile College together in the early 70s. He was a super person; this is such sad news. His life was one of positive energy...and purpose. I am praying for strength for his family at this time of loss; from experience I know that the great pain of the loss of someone so loved eventually becomes bearable, having the memories of all the good times that person shared with you. My memories of Rick are mostly his smile, his love for God, and his dedication to his faith. I know he will be missed by all of us who knew him. Loretta Richardson Weninegar

Dr. Cable was a great supporter of Cottage Hill Christian Academy and their football team. I coached there in 2002 and always appreciated and respected Rick.

Sherry and I are praying for your family. Remembering all the good times at Westbrook Christian School and the times we shared in the Etowah Baptist association.

So Sorry to learn of Rick's passing.  He was always so good to Andy.

John Piper wrote a book called "Don't Waste Your Life". When I think of Rick, I think of that title. He was a good friend to many, a good example to all, and was faithful to exalt Christ and His Word to all of us. He will be missed. It was a pleasure to serve alongside him in Jackson and to call him friend through the years.

Knew the Cagle family since I got saved in 1964.  Served with Rick's dad as deacon.  Rick was (is) a great guy.  He served the Lord faithfully and now is with Jesus.  He will be missed greatly by a lot of lives that his life touch for the Lord's glory.

Karen and I, along with our congregation, are holding all of you before the Lord. Rick was a dear friend, former roommate, one whom I prayed with, laughed with, wept with, and had sweet fellowship in Christ. He was one of the kindest men that I have ever met--truly a servant of Christ.

I have never lost my pastor before. But he wasn't just a pastor he was a true friend to everyone he met. I feel as though I have lost a close family member. He is being sorely missed!

I watched Rick grow up at CHBC.  He was a happy energetic young man. His mother, Ann, and I  prayed and talked many times about our children and how we wanted them to serve the Lord. Those prayers were answered and Rick was used by the Lord to encourage, up lift, and point people to Jesus.
He had a wonderful sense of humor.

We will sorely miss you Bro. Rick! Your name will go down in His story as one of the great influences in Christianity. When my grandfather, Rev. Byrd, went home to be with the Lord 6 years ago, there was a void in our hearts until we met you and the Cagle clan! You helped us in a great time of need, as you were so often known to do. I do not believe there has been anyone who you have ever came in contact with who you didnt impact for the Kingdom in some way. Your love for God and man was astounding to us all. May God bless all of your descendants for many many generations to come.

What an important man in our lives! Rick was an example we should all strive to be like and his leadership for our Crosspoint Church was exemplary. He will be sorely missed. He wasn't one in a million. He was one of a kind.

Ricky was a wonderful man of God.  Mike and I will be praying for your family. I grew up at Cottage Hill and had many adventures with Ricky.  We were also in Seminary at the same time.

Marie and family,  Rick was our sunshine.    Every time he came in my office he brought his wit, big smile, a happy story and love, encouragement  and friendship.  He made the world a better place, and my heart grieves with you that he is not here.  Heaven is a better place with him "finally home" but oh, how much he will be missed.  We will continue to pray for you and your family.  He adored you all and you truly made him so happy and blessed.
