Richard William La Trace Sr.

Richard William La Trace, Sr. – a 75 year-old native of Los Angeles, CA and a resident of Mobile passed away Monday, September 3, 2012. After a long career in the grocery store industry, Mr. La Trace retired as President of Delchamp’s. After retiring, he operated an antique store born from his and Mrs. La Trace’s love of antiquing. Mr. La Trace was preceded in death by his son, Richard W. La Trace, Jr.; parents, Howard Nelson and Bertha Burns La Trace; and brothers, Howard Nelson La Trace and Leslie Robert La Trace. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Georgia La Trace; son, Rick La Trace; longtime friend, Frank Brennen; other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 7, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Thursday, September 6, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F.), 6140 Rangeline Rd., Theodore, AL 36582.
