Mr. Richard Dean May, age 83, longtime resident of Mobile, AL and native of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, LTC (Ret.) Otis Wilbur and Della Birdie Martin May and brother, Jack and Bill May. He lived his early years and attended school in Chandler, AZ. He was a graduate of Arizona State of University. Mr. May was an independent trucker, having worked for numerous companies over 30 years, the last being Finch Trucking/Logistics.. He was a devout Christian who was a longtime member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church and previous member of Springhill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and antique cars, especially Fords. Mr. May is survived by his children; Alexander May (Tami) and Allison Josephson (Marcus). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Corbin and Brooke, sisters-in-law, Jeri May and Lena May and former wife, Ellen May. A Celebration of Life will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Dauphin Way Baptist Church.
