Richard D. Miles, Sr., age 64, a resident of Semmes, AL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father, George Miles, Sr., mother, Naomi Miles and son, Richard Miles, Jr.. Richard is survived by his loving wife Schelle and son Matt (Jennafer). He is also survived by grandsons, Camden Miles and Maverick Miles, brothers, George (Spring) Miles, Jr., Phillip (Denise) Miles, Greg (Renee) Miles, sister, Elaine (David) Wheeler, Caroline (Jimmy) Boswell and many nieces and nephews. Richard was a dedicated, loyal and loving husband, father, son and friend. He was dependable, trustworthy and always took care of others needs before his own. In his younger days, he enjoyed racing cars, boats and was an avid fisherman who competed and won in many fishing tournaments. He was an honest businessman, a master craftsman with impeccable skills, an accomplished second generation builder of 45 years and a man of many talents. His passion for the last 25 years was restoring classic cars for himself, close friends and acquaintances. He enjoyed attending classic car show and fellowship with other car enthusiast. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Oakleigh Chapel of the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery West on Snow Road.
