Richard Owen Schultz

Corporal Schultz was honorably discharged from the U. S. Air Force May 28, 1974. He worked for the Mobile County Sheriff's Office from 1972 until 1975 and for the Mobile Police Department from 1975 until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Azalea City Lodge #17 and was a founding member of the Mobile Police Department Honor Guard Unit and the Fraternal Order of Police Honor Guard Unit.

Corporal Schultz is survived by his wife, Martha Schultz; two children, Eric O. (Nicole) Schultz and Heidi Schultz (Randy) Adkison; one brother, Elmer (Vivian) Schultz; one sister, Carol (Ronald) Buck; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Gavin, Madison, and Avery Schultz, Nicolas and Jerek Allen, and Ronin Adkison; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Funeral services will be held at 9 A.M. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
