Bobby grew up in Mobile, Alabama where he went to Murphy High School. He graduated from The University of Alabama, and was a huge Alabama football fan. On game days you could find him screaming at the television screen and changing shirts during halftime if the game wasn’t going as planned. He particularly loved listening to the Tide with Eli Gold on the radio who’s voice became like an adopted member of the family. Bob spent much of his adult life on Dauphin Island where he enjoyed fishing and listening to the waves crash with his adored mother on the porch of their family home. He was a natural charmer whom everyone loved and he won the hearts of many with his charismatic smile that filled the room. He was a fan of Bob Dylan, and if someone ever accused him of anything he’d casually say, “It ain’t me babe.” Bobby was a big fish with an even bigger personality and he will sorely be missed.
Friends and family are requested to gather and tell stories of Bob’s legacy during “visitation” from 11-1:00 followed by a service from 1-2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to https://www.alz.org/nca/donate for Alzheimer’s research.
