Robert Nathaniel Gully

Mr. Robert (Bobby) Nathaniel Gully, age 87, a long-time resident of Semmes passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013. Bobby faithfully served his Lord and Savior throughout his life by teaching Sunday school, serving in children’s church, was a deacon, faithful member and supporter of missions. He served in the Merchant Marines, retired from Triangle Refineries. Mr. Gully was an avid hunter, fisher, gardener, devoted husband, loving father and an amazing PawPaw. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara A. Gully; children Geary (Amanda) Gully of Semmes, AL, Lynn Jordan of Fairhope, AL and Laura (Ernie) Brannan of Wilmer, AL; grandchildren, Scott (Meredith) Brannan of Knoxville, TN, Amy (Chris) Keenan of Fairhope, AL, Leshay (Cade) Clunan and Leah (Matthew) Bell both of Wilmer, AL and McKenzie and Taylor Moorer of Semmes, AL; great-grandchildren, Colton, Seryn and Bennett; brother, Earl (Sheila) Gully of Semmes, AL and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Scott Brannan, Chris Keenan, Cade Clunan, Matthew Bell, Steve Gully, Paul Gully and Reggie Davis. Honorary pallbearers are David Dunkin, Joe Mooneyham, James Guillotte and Pat Hillman. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Semmes First Baptist Church, 4070 Wulff Road East, Semmes, AL 36575, to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering or the mission project of your choice.
