Robert Eugene Lowe

Robert was a graduate of John Shaw High School in 1985 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of South Alabama in 1994. After working at South Alabama’s Brookley Conference Center and running a morning and afternoon paper route for several years, he quit and started his own business, RD Lowe's Inc. in 1996. At the time of his death, he had been the owner and president of this company for 25 and ½ years.

Robert married his high school sweetheart on September 3, 1988 and had two wonderful sons. He was a devoted husband and father who always, always, always made time for his boys, nieces and nephews - no matter what, when, where or how, he would be there and absolutely nothing could stop him from sharing and instilling his wisdom.

Robert found great joy in the game of foosball and played competitively for the past 8 years bringing home several plaques and trophies. He regularly held Friday night foosball tournaments inviting and encouraging friends to come play. He was determined for everyone to have a good time and consistently cracked jokes. Robert also enjoyed golf, working in the yard, and going for long walks in Botanical Gardens with his wife. He held an extremely high work ethic with great attention to detail and treated his employees and customers with utmost respect. Robert was so loved and had an impact on everyone he met. He will be missed terribly.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Howard Lowe Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Mickie Regina Edwards-Lowe; sons, Reid and Cole Lowe; mother, Nancy Wilson; father, Dennis Howard Lowe Sr.; sisters, Deidre Ward Lowe, Amanda Wilson Sanchez, and Brandy Wilson; nephew, Dennis Howard Lowe III. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and loved ones to cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held for Robert on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama, with a memorial service immediately following.
