Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert John Thomson and Marie McLean McGrath.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Thomson Chang (Mike), and their children: Michael Chang and Parker Chang; son, Robert John Thomson III (Catherine), and their children: Laney Thomson and Kate Thomson; son, Ryan Parker Thomson (Courtney), and their children: Morgan Thomson, Parker Thomson, and Cooper Thomson; and brother, William James Thomson (Pauline).
Visitation for Robert will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 2 S Claiborne Street, Mobile, Alabama 36602. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
