Roderick Maurice Stevens II passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. On June 30, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1952, in Mobile and graduated from W.P. Davidson High School in 1971. Roddy enlisted in the US Army in December of 1971 and received an honorable discharge in February of 1977.
Roddy was preceded in death by his mother Rosanne Kilborn, father Roderick Stevens, his dedicated grandparents Julia and Doyle Williams and his brother Tommy Kilborn. He is survived by his sister Julie Moore (Howard), brother Charlie Kilborn (Toni), sisters Pam Mauldwin (Matt), Dana Haig and Wendy Papera (John). He is also survived by a special niece and nephew Erin and Chas Kilborn, whom he lived with for the last eight years of his life. He is survived by other nieces and nephews as well.
A graveside service will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery on July 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Mobile Botanical Gardens, 5151 Museum Drive, Mobile, AL 36608, or to any organization that helps local veterans.
