He was a graduate of McGill Institute and Marion Military Institute, and attended Louisiana State University. Ronnie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf. He loved music, especially Blues. A loving and caring big brother, devoted son and dear friend, he will be greatly missed.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Gordon Byrnes and Evelyn Tracy Byrnes.
Survivors include two sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Richardson and Kathe (Jerry) Kutzman; special family friend, Barbara Johnson; other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
