Ronald Charles Waites

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, visitation at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, Jul 21, 2026, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Daphne, AL, with Father Thack Dyson officiating. Arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home, Mobile.

Ronald was born in Montgomery, Alabama, to James and Avna Waites, on June 12, 1940. He went to Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama, attended Auburn University for his undergraduate degree, and obtained his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He worked as an electrical engineer for many years, and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, Alabama.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna Margaret Walker Waites, his daughter Jennifer Cathleen Waites, and his brother James Waites.

Ronald is survived by his wife Susan Waites, his children Patrick and Laurelin Waites, Susan and David Hansen, his grandchildren, Marshall and Genevieve Waites, and Isabel and Christopher Hansen, and his sister Gloria Smith.
