Roy Andrew Mitchell

Mr. Roy Andrew Mitchell – age 83, of Satsuma, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was born in Pensacola, Florida January 31, 1928. He worked for several years at Newport Industries in Pensacola and retired from U.O.P. in Chickasaw as a maintenance supervisor. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Mitchell; and his two brothers, Bernie and Billy Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Celia Mitchell of Satsuma, AL; four children, Dianne Miller (Ron) of Mobile, Shirley Lee (Marvin) of Pensacola, Glen Mitchell (Nina) of Irvington, and Don Mitchell (Loree) of Satsuma; seven grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 12 Noon with visitation from 10 A.M. until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
