Ruby Schottgen Congleton

Ruby Schottgen Congleton, a native of Mobile, peacefully departed this life on July 3rd, 2021. She was born on December 30,1939. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Ruby Gladys Schottgen and Frank Bernard Schottgen, along with her beloved husband Luke Edward Congleton and brother Frank Schottgen.

She is survived by her brothers Thomas Douglas Schottgen, Stephen Andrew Schottgen (Dana) and sister-in-law Debbie Gunn (Keith) as well as her two step children Jessica Brooke Crane and Jody Luke Congleton, Step-Grand Daughters Emerson Elizabeth Crane and Anna Clare Crane not to mention a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Ruby graduated from the Convent of Mercy in 1957 and remained lifelong friends with her classmates for over sixty years. She was employed by her family's business, Allied Alarms and Allied Secret Service. She was a member of a mystic society where she reigned as queen in 1997. Ruby Loved her family and friends and had a positive outlook on life. If you asked her how she was doing, she would always reply "Wonderful!"

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church located at 1407 Joyce Road Mobile, Al 36618.
