Rufus Adren Coley

Rufus Adren Coley, age 88, passed away Monday, September 05, 2011 at William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette, AL. He was surrounded in the last days by his four children and their mother. He was born in Birmingham, AL, raised his family in Eight Mile, AL and found residence the last 20 or so years in Monroe County. He was a veteran of World War II, retired from Teledyne Continental Motors and was a born again Christian. He loved to hunt, fish, and compete as a marksman across the southeast. He held a weapons black belt in karate.

Mr. Coley is survived by his children, Susan M. Cambron, Dennis A. Coley (Debbie), Lisa Normand Davis (Clint) and Kim Nall (Gerald), their mother, Barbara Coley Cross, 8 grand children, 14 great grand children, 1 brother, James Richard Coley (Dorothy), 2 sister in laws, Dot and Wanda Coley and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 3pm from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at 1pm until service time and interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to William F.
