Sally Childers Blair

Sally Childers Blair – an 87 year-old native of Blue Mountain, MS, longtime resident of Mobile, and current resident of Jackson, AL passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. She was a former tour guide at Fort Conde Charlotte House Museum, a longtime active member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church, and was a past president of the Women’s Missions Union of the Mobile County Baptist Association. Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Homer L. Blair; parents, Luther and Florence Childers; and sister, Virginia Coutre. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Counselman (Roger) of Jackson; grandchildren, David Counselman of Columbus, OH and Neil Counselman (Deby) of Walker, LA; two great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held from Radney Funeral home on Dauphin Street on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
