Sandra was born in New Brockton, Alabama to Henry R. and Mary Robers Crook on October 11, 1943. She went to Vigor High school in Mobile. She married Thomas E. Brownlee on April 14, 1961 in Chickasaw. She worked as a substitute teacher for a number of years. She was a very outgoing person who loved to dance, raise exotic birds, go to casinos, and travel around the world.
She is preceded in death by her parents Henry (Randolph) Crook and Mary Roberts Crook, her ex-husband Thomas Brownlee, and her granddaughter Christy Brownlee.
She is survived by her children Vince Brownlee (Lisa Sullivan Brownlee), Terrence Brownlee (Rhonda Wiggins Brownlee), Jason Brownlee (Danette Irwin). Grandchildren John Brownlee, Angela Brown (Darrahn Brown), Malissa Brownlee, Jeremy Brownlee, Justin Brownlee, Trent Brownlee, Travis Brownlee (Haley Johnson). Great-grandchildren Raven Black, Kira Black, Aiyahna Brown, Jesi Brownlee, Jett Brownlee.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 pm prior to services.
Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
