Sara "Peg" Margaret Morton

Sara Margaret Morton was born January 24, 1925 in Lewistown, PA. She passed away on June 3, 2018 at Ashland Place Health and Rehabilitation. Peg was a long time resident of Mobile. She is preceded in death by Dr. Edwin Morton, her husband of 62 years, her three sisters, Doris, Marj and Jeanne, her son Eddie Morton and her daughter, Sissy Morton Lyles. She is survived by children Sue Morton (Gerald) Gentry of Columbus MS, Frank Caldwell (Tamara) Morton of Birmingham, AL and David Sidney (Kathy) Morton of Nashville. “Mimi” is also survived by nine grandchildren: Charles Brungart of Mobile, Ted (Jade) Morton of Richmond Hill, GA, Sara Morton (Tom) Snead of Auburn, AL, David (Tina) Gentry of Jackson, MS, John Frank (Erin) Morton of Mobile, Randy Gentry of Jackson, MS, Gwen Lyles (Ryan) Northrup of Mobile, Drew Morton of Birmingham, and Reid Morton of Birmingham, fifteen great-grandchildren: Charles, Tammy, Stella, Edwin, Marcel, Laura, Tom, Henry, Rachel, Anna Marie, Caroline, Avery, Frankie, Emelia, and Maisie, one great-great-grandchild, Nathan. Mrs. Morton’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home on Thursday June 7th from 11:00-1:00. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 at Pine Crest Cemetery.
