Sharon McNellage Hile, 72, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Fairhope, Alabama. Sharon was a graduated of Murphy High School, and an officer in the ADK sorority at Murphy. She was “Miss Hollywood” in every sense of the moniker – she was a very classy and glamorous lady. Sharon started her battle with cancer in 2006, and remained upbeat and in good spirits throughout her entire journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules Cox McNellage and Katharine Neely McNellage; and brothers, Mark Gary McNellage and Gregory Steven McNellage.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 16 years, Allen Campbell Hile, Jr.; sister, Janet McNellage Walker of Edmond, Oklahoma; sons, Christopher W. Pehrson (Rie) of Herndon, Virginia and Allen Campbell Hile, III (Larissa) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; daughters, Ashley Pehrson Storm (Bentley) of Coral Gables, Florida, Karri Hile Herring (Scott) of Hewitt, Texas, and Deana Hile Lashley (Randall) of Cedar Key, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
As per Sharon’s wishes, a family graveside service was held in Pine Crest Cemetery West on Snow Road in Mobile, Alabama.
Anyone who knew Sharon knew of her abundant love for animals. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA in Sharon’s name.
