Sharon Elaine Noell

Sharon Dixon Noell, 83, a native and lifetime resident of Mobile, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 6, 2022 after a brief illness of cancer. Sharon was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for several years while her children were young and had many supportive friends in Christ. Sharon loved her cats, and one of her favorite joys was to sit and watch Disney movies with them. She also loved to eat out and be driven around Downtown Mobile.

Sharon is survived by children, Edwin (Theresa) Perry Jr., of Mobile, AL., Susan (Philip) Brown, PhD of Washington, DC., and stepson Thomas (Jonalou) Noell of the Philippines; her half-sisters, Alice Dixon Dantro and Kay (Philip) Angevine as well as her devoted cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends, and beloved friend Bernard Reese. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; beloved grandmother Winnie Dixon “Nonnie”, parents, Troy and Alice Dixon; brother, Troy Jr; and half-sister Bonnie Jean.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home., where a service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, as per her request, Sharon will be buried in Pine Crest Cemetery beside her most beloved Nonnie.
