Shelia was a beautiful person inside and out. My family and i were so blessed to know her and spend time with her years ago.  She will be greatly missed!! Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family!

I am so saddened that such a beautiful person was taken from us so early in her life.  Yes, I say early, because Sheila's zest for life, her warm and welcoming personality, and always being so very kind to others with her gift of encouragement,  made her ageless...  Employment interviews can be daunting, however once I had the final and decisive interview with Sheila, I found that she had a presence that immediately relaxed you. Factually, once I had confirmation that I had been hired, I felt comfortable stopping in one day specifically to thank her for her kindness the day of my interview, and also remark that her special talent gave interviewed applicants an opportunity to shine with their best.  RIP dear one...

My heart goes out to Shelia’s family. She was such a wonderful woman and I am so blessed to have known her. She was so strong and I’m praying for strength for her family. Praying the unexplainable peace of God surrounds you.

I met Sheila while working in the ER at USA Health. While I wasn’t sure what to think of her when she was calling me scooter during stroke codes, I quickly began to respect her knowledge and passion for her field. Shelia, you are still what I want to be when I grow up. Rest easy knowing you have created a legacy that will carry on what you started. Love you sweet friend.

Shelia is preceded in death by her son Allen Rucker. She is survived by her husband, Jay Ross; mother-in-law, Isabelle Seiken; sisters, Penny Black (Jay Lewis), Barbara (Les) Martin; brothers, Michael (Sherry) Compton and Marvin Compton; along with her sister-in-law Marla (Bailey) Falls.
Shelia's children are Rebekkah Cumbie, Miranda Tidikis, Allen (Claire) Ross, and Jordan Ross.
Her wonderful grandchildren include Reid Ross, Lucille Ross, Grayson Ross, Aria Ross, Colson Tidikis, Brian Chamness, Lily Rucker, Addison Rucker, Pheonix Rucker, and Samuel Chamness.
