Mr. Shelton D. Brown, A native of Evergreen, Alabama and a lifelong resident of Mobile, died in a local hospital on Tuesday February 28, 2012.Mr. Brown had served for over 20 years in the Alabama National Guard. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ralph and Annie C. Brown and his brother Joel Brown, Jr. He is survived by his wife Nelda Lewis Brown; one daughter, Celia Roe, Gadsden, AL; one sister, Carolyn Moorer, Brewton, AL and one brother Samuel (Sharon) Brown, Charlotte, N.C. and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Radney Funeral home on Friday March 2, 2012 at 11AM. Visitation will start at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Home, 6512 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL 36695. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
