I'm very sorry to hear of Shirley passing away. I worked with her at Selma Street, and I enjoyed her so much. She was a great teacher, and she always had something going! I am praying for the family in the coming days! I know you miss her so much.

Ms. Waters was one of the most influential teachers I've had. I'll never forget her threatening to "hang us up by our toenails." She will definitely be missed. Love you, Ms. Waters.

Shirley was my wonderful friend.  She knew what to do when you needed help.  We taught school and Sunday School together.  Shirley was a wonderful teacher and had many interesting and exciting events in her life.  She was so much fun to be with and I will miss her greatly.

I remember Shirley as one of the most influential people in my life when I was in high school.  Since she was a year older, she had her driver's license before I did, and she was always very considerate to take me to various events at church and with our youth group.  There were many wonderful times with her and Ma Blakey.  When she was with her dad, she lived across the street from me on South Foster.  We know she will be greatly missed.  I regret I did not get to visit her in recent years.

Fond memories of Shirley as Howard College (now Samford University) classmate. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Mrs Shirley was my 3rd grade teacher at Highlands Elementary. She cared about her students and had a passion for teaching.  God bless the Waters family in their loss.

I worked with Shirley at Wilson Street Elementary School for 3 years in Dothan, AL.  She was an excellent  4th grade math teacher.  The kids loved her.  Shirley was one-of-a-kind, and she will be missed.

I enjoyed visiting with Shirley when I would come by to visit with her mom, Vileta Blakey.  Vileta and Audrey Pittman were great friends. Shirley helped us with our Broadcast Ministry at FBC Dothan about 15 years ago.

I taught with Shirley at Highlands Elementary in Dothan many years ago. Allyson was the same age as my oldest daughter, Tammi. Shirley was always smiling and happy and had the biggest laugh. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
