Stan was preceded in death by his father, Nathan Lafayette Coarsey III; his mother, Sarah H. Smith; his sister, Judy (James) Phillips; and his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Leake Coarsey. Stan is survived by his wife of 25 years, Amy Coarsey; his daughters, Alex (Ray) Coarsey, Mackensie (Davey) Miller, Bradyn Coarsey, and Kylie Coarsey; mother, Linda Ashford Coarsey; siblings, Debrah (TC) Sapp, Glenn (JJ) Coarsey, Geri (Brian) O’Dell, Bo Coarsey, and Richard (Brian) Coarsey; Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many others. Stan was an upstanding husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Stan accomplished a lot during his time on Earth. After his 40 plus years in the pipe industry, Stan recently represented the Texas
Pipe & Supply Family of Companies as the Southeast Regional Manager. He was a parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church and served as a member of the school board. He was a member of the Senior Bowl committee. Stan was a long-time member of one of the oldest mystical Mardi Gras organizations, where he served as President and Emblem of the society. Stan loved spending time outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and softball with Fiesta. One of Stan’s favorite summer pastimes was cooking his famous crawfish to enjoy with friends and family. He enjoyed running his boat through Dog River and watching his girls grow up on the water. Stan was most proud of his girls and his greatest pleasure was sharing in their many
accomplishments. He loved traveling with his wife Amy, and their most recent joy was spending Saturday nights in Death Valley cheering on his LSU Tigers. Stan lived a fulfilling life and left a lasting impact on those surrounding him. His presence will be sincerely missed. - Visitation: 9:30 - 10:30 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church’s Murphy Center, 4156
Burma Road.
- Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 4156 Burma Road.
- Graveside Service: Following the funeral at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6100 Three Notch Road.
