Susan "Juanita" Guidry

Susan “Juanita” Guidry – age 70, a native of Tuscaloosa, AL and resident of Mobile, AL passed away peacefully with family at her side on Monday, September 13, 2021 in a local hospital. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. Juanita loved her family and friends. She never met a stranger. She loved to travel and cook. She was an avid gardener who loved plants and flowers, but most of all she loved being surrounded by her family and friends and caring for people. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, George Levi Bracknell and Mildred Juanita Belcher Bracknell; her niece, Ashley Nicole Bracknell Reed; and granddaughter, Dana Renee Davis. She is survived by her husband, Doug Guidry; her daughter, Susan (Aubrey) Roberson; stepchildren, Dana Guidry (Ronny) Friloux, and Terry Guidry (Robert) Kingston; sister, Diana Bracknell (Tommy) Townsend; brother, Roger Keith (Belinda) Bracknell; grandchildren, Corey Michael (Kaitlyn) Roberson, and Kayleigh Michelle Roberson; step-grandchildren, Cortni Ann Guidry and Demi Lynn (Donna) Griffin; and many other friends whom she considered family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 5 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. prior to services. A reception will be held at the funeral home following services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Life Church, 8701 Zeigler Blvd., Mobile, AL 36608.
