He was a very good friend to my father, George Lantz I the 6th ... I went to grade school with his son at McGuire ... my father always spoke very highly of Swanny B ...

Swanson Brown was my Stepfather. A wonderful and generous no nonsense man. He taught me much. We experienced so many wonderful things together ❤.  Loved my mother completely and took great care of her. They traveled the world together and he made her so happy. Swanson was a good friend to me and he will be missed.  God bless you and may you Rest 🙏 in Peace. 

In August, 1961 I graduated from reciprocating engine school at Shepard AFB, Texas, My first assignment was the 1625th Support Squadron at Mildenhall, England.  When I reported for work I was introduced to my first supervisor - SSgt Swanson Brown.  About six months later he was reassigned to McGuire AFB, New Jersey.  Before he departed Mildenhall he said he was going to cross-train into the flight engineer program.  He did.   Marvin Blair was a mechanic at Mildenhall at that time.  After locating dozens of 1625th personnel he organized a reunion in 2001 and after 39 years I once again shook hands with Swannee.  He was a good man.

First met Swaney B in 1970 at  ChristChurch, NZ.  We were flying the “Deep Freeze mission to the Antarctic.  We both ended up in 21AF Stand/ Eval  at McGuire AFB, NJ. In the’70’s and we were good friends for close to 50 Years.  I loved him like a brother.  RIP Swaney B.  Prayers for Gerry & the family.

I had the extreme pleasure to work with Swannie when I was at 21AF and the 6th as I worked closely with the squadron.  He was so helpful to anyone who asked him for help or assistance.  He parted loads of his knowledge to many a person.  He always had a smile on his face and spring in his step and he loved to tell stories and joke.

Swannie was a great mentor to me at McGuire AFB 1978-83.  We flew together with Major General Tom Sadler .  Swannie and Mac Mccommons were very influential to my Air Force career.  My last visit with Swannie was 19 Jun 21 and we had a great lunch in his screen porch with his lady friend, Gerry.  We told old stories and laughed a lot.  I was looking forward to seeing him again this year in June when I would be in the area again.  I send my condolences to the Brown Family and his friend Gerry.  I will miss him.  We had such great times flying around the world.
