Tami Trammell Davenport, age 59, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dixie Chapman, step-mother, Marcia Trammell, father-in-law, Fred B. Davenport, step-father, Bobby Chapman, grandparents, Cecil and Jackie Trammell, Bob and Hellon Vivion. Tami retired as a Advanced Sr. Director with Pampered Chef after 22 years of service. She was awarded numerous trips to at least eight different countries, reached over 1.1 million dollars in career sales, was a member of the Top Performance Cluster and recipient of the company’s highest achievement award, the Hospitality Award. During her career she recruited 125 sales consultants and touched many more through approximately 2400 "in home cooking shows" in Texas, plus other states, as well. She made lasting friendships throughout the United States while working with Pampered Chef. Tami was a graduate of Cypress Fairbanks High School in Houston, TX, and attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos where she first met her husband, Tommy. After first meeting in 1976, they reconnected 34 years later and married on October 6, 2012. She was a devoted Christian, who lived her life for the Lord. She volunteered on numerous mission trips with the church and her most loved mission was to Guatemala with First Baptist Church of Prosper, TX. This trip was called the “Happy Feet Mission” to provide shoes and ministry to the Guatemalan children. Tami was a member of College Park Baptist Church since moving from Texas six years ago. Tami loved her precious dogs, "Pistol" and "Lil Bit". Tami is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Davenport and children; Taylor Leigh Davenport, Shelby Elizabeth Davenport, Lisa Fowkles, and Brittany Wrobel. She is also survived by her father, Monrow Trammell (Barbie) and mother-in-law, Frances Davenport; her siblings; Kelli Trammell Williams (Dennis Venable), Jody Foster (Johnny), Amy Johnson (Bryant), Linda Phillips (David), Cindy McDonald (Victor), Bobby Chapman (Cheryl), Tony Chapman (Holly) and grandchildren; Julian, Henry, Sydney, Micah, Macie, Lane, Max and Ainsley. The family would like to express their gratitude to Covenant Care Hospice and USA Mitchell Cancer Center for the loving care extended to Tami and her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Hope 4 Hearts, (Animal Rescue), P. O. Box 190681, Mobile, AL 36619 and/or Covenant Care Hospice at Providence Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, August 4, 2018 beginning at 4:30 p.m., with a memorial visitation immediately following the service.
