Teresa Dennis Zabel - a 68 year-old native of Clanton, Alabama and resident of Mobile passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. She worked as a secretary for Childer's Brokerage for over 30 years. She was instrumental in setting up numerous Multiple Sclerosis programs in the state of Alabama and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Dawes. Mrs. Zabel was known for sending inspirational messages to many people on Facebook on a daily basis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Wayne Dennis and Clara Mae Sandlin Dennis. Mrs. Zabel is survived by her husband of 49 years, Karl Zabel, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Dawes on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be held in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, Alabama on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Zabel requests that donation be made to the First Baptist Church of Dawes, 3941 Dawes Road, Mobile, AL 36695 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Alabama Chapter, 2200 Woodcrest Place, Suite 230, Birmingham, AL 35209.
