Terry Gerard York

Terry Gerard York, Sr., a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, departed this life on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Leon Victor and Grace Ray York and sister, Vicky York Yannuzzi.

Terry was a 1973 graduate of McGill Institute and a lifelong member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a dedicated Service Manager for many years at a local car dealership. He also enjoyed many of his years by playing basketball and sharing his passion by coaching and playing the sport with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. York is survived by his adoring wife of 34 years Berniece Atkinson York and children Victoria Grace York, Terry Gerard York II and Christine Marie York. He is also survived by his grandsons, Titus and Grayson, brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Joyce York and loving sister-in-law Mary Atkinson Berg and nephew Clarence Berg, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Terry was a devoted and loving father, husband and grandfather. His loving pets, Black Lab, Willow, Chihuahua, Luke and Grand-dog, Australia Shepard, Ella will also miss him.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakleigh Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
