June 2021 - Father's Day Celebration
You will forever be loved and in our hearts.

Strong and courageous mother of four. Wanting a better life for her children, she devised a plan in secret to escape Vietnam with her children after the fall of Saigon. A boat built in secrecy, with bribes in place to part the sea for the voyage, she sailed across the ocean towards Malaysia with almost 100 passengers onboard. Providing a space on her vessel to passengers, for a chance of freedom so that they may pursue a better life elsewhere. A true hero who must not be forgotten.

Di Hong , please rest in peace. Although I knew I was you  leaving, your presence in this house still lingers in my mind, and your words before you chose to sleep forever it still lingers in my mind .. I pray that you will rest in peace.

For many years after our parents divorced they remained single. While Mother had a few acquaintances, Father remained solo until he met Dì Hồng. She loved him and provided the companionship that he really needed. He was not alone anymore. We were happy for him. Now that she is gone, it will be a major adjustment for him. We hope that his memories of her will allow him to go on until his time comes. May her family and friends find comfort in the thoughts of her contributions to all people she knew, including our Father.

Di Hong will be deeply missed,  her memory will remain in our hearts.  Though she came into my life later, she was an important part of our lives. She was soft spoken, I will always appreciate her kindness and care she shared.  She brought so much joy and love to our father's and our lives.  Rest in peace.
