

Thelma is predeceased by her husband of 61 yrs.Oliver J Wyant (1913-2000) and her son and first born Donald J Wyant.( 1939-2014)
Thelma is survived by one brother James Hedditch of Momence, Illinois and three daughters: Kathleen Kachilla of Hamilton,Tx, Susan Gunn of Texas, and MaryJane Langford of Daphne Ala.Thelma is lovingly remembered by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her 2 great- great-grandchildren including many nieces, nephews, and friends in Momence, Kanakee and throughout the United States.Thelma was born in South Bend Indiana on May 28,1920. She was a homemaker and excellent seamstress. She loved sewing for her family, especially children’s clothing. She has lived in Kankakee and Momence Illinois until retirement. Texas became her other home for 20 yrs before moving to Mobile, Ala. Thelma lived independently until 2014 when she moved into the Brennity Assisted Living Center in Daphne, Ala. Where her granddaughter Erin Thompson is director. Throughout Thelma’s life she remained constant in her faith and the expression of her faithfulness as a devout Catholic. In Mobile, Ala, she was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and then attended services provided by Christ the King Catholic Church at the Brennity Assisted Living.She found great joy teaching CCD classes at St.Mary’s Catholic Church in Victoria Tx, and volunteered at Providence Hospital in Mobile for 5 yrs.. Thelma was finding a new passion of acrylic and watercolor painting as well as winning award for her participation in all activities of her new home at The Brennity. She was most known for her beautiful smile. The visitation will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church on Tuesday Nov. 15th at 9:30 followed by funeral mass at 10am.
