1962 – 2025
Thomas William Brabston, Jr., age 63, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at his home.
Tom spent most of his life in Mobile, where he was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in nature. He especially enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, camping, and hiking. He also loved being by the water, whether relaxing at the beach or paddleboarding. Beyond the outdoors, he had a passion for fitness and adventure, often challenging himself with running and Spartan races.
Tom’s faith was central to his life. As a devoted Christian, he found purpose in sharing kindness with others, often giving small Jesus figures and everyday supplies to people in need as a way to lift their spirits and offer encouragement.
Tom is survived by his three children, Will Brabston, Meghan Krieger, and Anna Elisabeth Brabston; his grandson, James; his mother, Mary Brabston; and his sisters, Lisa Fawcett, Carla Forester, and Lori Brabston. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Brabston, who passed earlier this year.
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of the outdoors, and his compassion for others. His memory will remain with those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Church, 6101 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL 36609.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alabama Wildlife Federation or the Wounded Warrior Project in Tom’s memory.
