Thomas Robert "T.R." Willis Jr., age 67, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Nancy Jeanne Willis; his mother, Julia Ann Willis; his sister, Stephanie Willis (John DePace); as well as many longtime friends.
As a young man, T.R. joined the United States Army and served as a BioMed Tech, before transitioning into his lifelong career as a Chef. He spent the remainder of his 35 working years in the culinary industry, spending time at CSUMB, Auburn, as well as taking a position as a traveling chef, to which he became very fond of.
T.R. had a love of history and enjoyed visiting new museums. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post 88. In his retirement, he found that he had a knack for nature, and found enjoyment in tending to all the neighborhood birds.
A private service will be held at a later date.
