Thurston Theodore Moore – Age 89, a longtime resident of Mobile, died Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was born in Germantown, Tennessee September 29, 1921. He served in the US Army Signal Corps during WWII and was employed with Morton Salt Company for 38 years. Mr. Moore was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church for 60 years, serving as Sunday School Director, Sunday School Teacher and three times Chairman of the Deacon Fellowship. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Patty Moore; two daughters, Nancy Moore and Susan Moore; and a brother, J. T. Moore of Burlington, NC; Funeral services will be held from Dauphin Way Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dauphin Way Baptist Church Building Fund, 3661 Dauphin St., Mobile, AL 36608.
