

The public viewing service for Ursula Siedlarz Lawrence, 60, of Spanish Fort, Alabama, will be Thursday, January 8, from 10:30-12 p.m. The memorial service will follow at 12 p.m. at the Oakleigh Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.
Ursula, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and distinguished healthcare leader, passed away in Mobile, Alabama, on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1965, in Salem, New Jersey.
Ursula’s greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her beloved husband, James David Lawrence, Jr. (Dave); her devoted parents, Edward and Mary Siedlarz; and her sister, Kristen Tabor, along with her husband Kelly and their children.
As a loving mother, she is survived by her three children and their families: James David Lawrence, III (David) and his wife Caitlin, with their children Davis and Emily Ellen; Edward Andrew Lawrence (Andrew) and his wife Jessicah, with their daughter Riley-Harper; and Olivia Taverna and her husband Devin, with their daughters Cece and Sofia.
Ursula was a proud graduate of the Salem High School Class of 1983. Her lifelong passion for caring for others led her to Widener University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later returned to complete her Master of Science in Nursing. On June 2, 1984, she married the love of her life, James David Lawrence, Jr., in Salem, New Jersey, beginning a beautiful journey of 42 years filled with unwavering devotion and deep-rooted partnership.
Ursula’s professional journey of more than 40 years was marked by over a decade of excellence as the Vice President of Nursing at Mobile Infirmary. A pillar of the healthcare community, she dedicated her life to serving the residents of Mobile and Baldwin Counties, mentoring a generation of nurses and advocating tirelessly for patient care. Ursula’s life was a testament to leadership, grace, and commitment, and her memory will be cherished by her family, her colleagues at Mobile Infirmary, and the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable career.
The family will receive friends for a public viewing on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606. A Memorial Service will follow in the Oakleigh chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life held immediately afterward at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mobile Infirmary Foundation to support Nursing Scholarships and Nursing Continuing Education, a cause that remained close to Ursula’s heart.
