Virginia Jenkins Johansen, age 77, departed this life on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Mobile, AL. She was born to Lewis and Lora Jenkins on December 19, 1940 in Needham, AL. Mrs. Johansen retired from the City of Mobile. She was an excellent cook, a fan of Elvis, but above all, she was an amazing mother and grandmother. Mrs. Johansen adored her family and devoted her life to them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Joseph Johansen, Jr. and her parents, Lewis and Lora Jenkins. She is survived by her three children, Leslie Joseph “Joey” Johansen, III (Laurie), Sherry Johansen Lowry (Kraig), and Laura Johansen Tritle (Park); four grandchildren, Nicholas Colby Johansen, Austin Taylor Lowry, Bradley Scott Johansen, and Ashley Michelle Johansen; as well as many other cherished family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a Graveside Service immediately following in Pine Crest Cemetery.
