Virginia Parmer, a native of Jena, LA and a longtime resident of Semmes, AL died on Friday. Mrs. Parmer was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Parmer and her brother, Lacy McVay. She is survived by five sons, Glenn Parmer, Wayne Parmer, Calvin Parmer, Vic Parmer and Roy Parmer; two sisters, Ernestine Pierce and Melba Christie; one brother, W.H. McVay; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10 AM. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 8. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
