eternal rest on January 1, 2019, unexpectedly. He was welcomed into this
world on August 31, 1952, by the late Mary Johnson Kennerson and Wallace
Joseph Kennerson Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Paul
Kennerson.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy.
While serving in the United States Navy, he earned the National Defense
Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Wallace was an avid
horseman and trail rider. He would do trail rides through Alabama,
Mississippi, Lousiana, and Texas. He always looked forward to the
week-long ride in Houston, Texas. He was the owner of W&B Stables for
many years, along with his beloved wife, Beverly Kennerson.
He leaves to celebrate his life, a loving and devoted wife, Dr. Beverly WIlson
Kennerson; five devoted children, Tanya Green (Antonio), Kimberly
Kennerson Charles, Yolanda Renee Moore, Wallace Carver Kennerson, and
Schon Kennerson; he leaves behind eleven grandchildren, one devoted
grandson, James Charles Charles; one sister, Shirley Resa Ellis of Houston,
Texas and one brother, Patrick Kennerson of London, England; two uncles,
Earl Johnson (Clara) of Opelousas, Lousiana and Peter J. Wilson Sr. of San
Antonio, Texas; one aunt, Carlene W. Morris of Mobile, Alabama; four
sister-in-laws, Naweta F. Peters, Inez R. Tucker, Karen Days, all of Mobile,
Alabama, Lucretia Smitherman (Michael) of Tacoma, Washington, Rosa L.
Richardson of Kansas, Missouri, and Patricia Eddins (Mitchell) of Jackson,
Mississippi; three brother-in-laws, Morris C. Wilson Sr. (Hattye) and Gerald
B. London, both of Mobile, Alabama, and Rev. John S. Jones (Deborah) of
Kansas City, Missouri. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives,
and dear friends, Elmer Craig, Willie Malone, and Kelvin Cheeseboro of
Mobile, Alabama and Robert Owens of Opelousas, Lousiana.
