She was born December 8, 1949, to loving parents Inez and Jake Billy. Wanda was a strong, caring woman who spent her life putting family first and loving her people the way only a mama can.
She was the proud mother of a son, David Fryer, and a daughter, Lisa Turberville, and she loved them with her whole heart. Wanda was also blessed with eight grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and smiles.
She is survived by her children David and Lisa, her grandchildren, and her siblings Pam, Gloria, Beverly, and Johnny, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Wanda will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her love of family, and the steady way she showed up for the people she cared about. Her presence leaves a space that can never be filled, but her love will always remain.
Visitation for Wanda will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
