

Wayne Medric Eubanks, 64, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Wayne was truly a kind-hearted, fun-loving guy who loved to tell jokes and stories regularly. He was the type of person to offer you the shirt off his back if need be. Always swift with a snappy comeback, he could certainly bust chops with the best of them – but was also soft spoken, easy going, friendly, very motivated, and always worked hard to make everyone’s lives a little easier. He had the kind of smile that could light up any room he entered and was there when you needed a shoulder to cry on or some words of encouragement to help get by.
Wayne pursued a career in telecommunications, and traveled all over the world, including Africa. Worked at World Trade center in New York for Warner Brothers and brushed elbows with movie stars. He was knowledgeable in all aspects of telecom.
Music was a driving force in his life. Wayne was widely known for his drumming prowess, as well as being a multi-instrumentalist and song writer. He has played in a multitude of bands throughout the years, playing many varieties of genres of music, (his favorite being southern classic rock) and performing at a variety of different venues and events. Playing live for people brought him immense joy.
Aside from music, Wayne was an avid fisherman and Captain. Some of his best times were spending countless hours enjoying the wind and the sea, and loved nothing more than to reel in "a whopper." He enjoyed captaining many vessels throughout his life and always looked forward to fishing trips any chance he could get.
Another one of Wayne’s favorite hobbies was what he referred to as "wind therapy," a.k.a., pleasure cruising on his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle on the open road, and enjoying the camaraderie between him and his fellow Biker brethren.
Aside from riding for fun, Wayne has been involved in many Fundraisers and Rides to support Veterans, as well as various other causes. He was a true patriot and loved his Biker Family.
Wayne was also quite the chef and immensely enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He always took a lot of pride in the creation of his dishes and certainly deserved the title of grill-master extraordinaire.
Wayne also enjoyed all things Science & Science-Fiction. He was a huge Star-Trek and Star Wars fan and enjoyed programs which highlighted The Universe and Nature. He was also fascinated by Robotics, Computers, and Technology.
Wayne had a keen Interest in Relic/Treasure hunting and metal detecting. He a special affinity for history, especially American History. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed exploration. He was successful in finding many fascinating artifacts over the years and was always very excited to share his finds with the world.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, James M. Eubanks; his aunt and step-mother, Nina V. Eubanks; and cousin and step-brother, Cecil Sanderson, Jr.
He is survived by his life-partner, Joy Tyson; mother, Mary Ann Boggs; sons, Jason Eubanks and Phillip Eubanks; granddaughter, Sela Eubanks; daughter-in-law, Kristina Haines; sister, Tricia Rohrkemper; cousins: Warren and Nikki Clark, Mark and Jewel Thomas, Bobby Sizemore, Linda Sizemore, and Joanne Sizemore; as well as a host of cherished friends.
Visitation for Wayne will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following.
Wayne’s family would like to invite his friends to recall their favorite stories of Wayne and share them with everyone at the service.

A celebration of life will occur Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama 36605. A reception will occur following the Celebration of Life, Sunday, March 13, 2022, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama 36605.
