Wayne Stephen Miller Sr.

Wayne Stephen Miller, Sr. - a devoted husband and father died January 11, 2013. Mr. Miller was 66 years old. He graduated from Murphy High School. He attended college and played baseball at Marion Military Institute and graduated from Auburn University. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in Okinawa. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He succeeded in various sales positions, worked with the Pinkerton Company for 15 years and ended his career with the ownership of his company, Brim’s of Mobile. He attended the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Guy Edward Miller (Virgie S.) and his brother, Guy Edward Miller, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anita Catlin Miller; and his two sons – Wayne Stephen Miller, Jr. and Christopher Allen Miller (Hollie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, January15, 2013, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice.
