He was born on April 23, 1942 to Charles and Irene Hand of Clanton Alabama.
He married Betty Neese in Selma, Alabama on March 12, 1967. They have two sons, Steven Hand (Kate) and Scott Hand, three grandchildren, Aoife Hand, Lily Beane and Zoe Beane and one sister, Linda Snow, of Clanton.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. After moving to Mobile, he sold Snap-On Tools and then worked at several parts stores before going to work for Mobile County schools at the Deaf & Blind Special School and then retiring from E R Dickson Elementary.
Services will be held at Tillman’s Corner First Baptist Church on Friday, May 28 at 2:00 p.m.
