

William Dewey Cannon, “Billy”, 81, of Mobile, AL passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Billy was born to Dewey and Vivian Cannon on November 1, 1936 in Mobile. He was a man full of life – a great deep sea fisherman who won several rodeos and always brought fresh catch back home. Billy was an Inca, a devout Catholic, and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart, being a patient and kind teacher to them. Billy was and Alabama Football fan (Roll Tide). He is greatly loved, and will be missed.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Vivian Cannon as well as one brother, Freddie Cannon.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary A. Cannon; three sons, Michael Cannon, Jason Cannon, and Randy Cannon; one daughter, Amanda Cannon; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Susanna, Joshua, Austin, William, and Anna; brother-in-law, Douglas Artlip; as well as a host of other cherished family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 beginning at 1 p.m., with interment immediately following in Pine Crest Cemetery.
