
William Howard Hudgens – a 76 year-old native of Luverne, AL and a resident of Mobile passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010. He owned and operated Howard’s Ideal Drugs for 25 years. Mr. Hudgens was an alumnus of Auburn University where he was a member of the marching band. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a local Mystic Society, the Mobile County Pharmaceutical Association, and the Alabama Pharmaceutical Association for the past 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Roberta Hudgens; sons, Andrew Hudgens and Dr. Russell Hudgens (Celle) of Mobile; daughter, Amy Hudgens Burnette (Trent) of Marietta, GA; half-brother, William Hudgens (Kaye); five grandchildren, Blythe, Katie, and Daniel Hudgens and Lauren and Patrick Burnette; many cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, January 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 2, from 4-6 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the T.W.C. Fund at Christ United Methodist Church, 6101 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL 36609.
